Art8 - Newquay Arts Festival is a new event to celebrate & showcase cultural and artistic activity already taking place in Newquay and surrounding Villages, as well as bringing in artists and performers and commissioning new work for the Festival.

For 8 days we will have a range of activities & events happening across the town for you to watch, see, listen, enjoy, be inspired, challenged, motivated and take part.

This will provide opportunities for a broad range of local artists and performers to contribute towards improving the image of Newquay. This alongside bringing in artists from wider afield and commissioning new work widens the offer for local people and visitors alike.

This opportunity is open to students studying in Cornwall.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LOCAL STUDENT TO DESIGN THE Art8 - NEWQUAY ARTS FESTIVAL LOGO.

We are looking for creative, exciting idea's that reflect the spirit of festival. In return for the design, the logo will be used on all of the festival marketing material including the website and you will be fully acknowledged as the designer. This is a great opportunity for a student to add something amazing to their portfolio.

The timeline for this opportunity is to have all entries in to the Art8 committee by

MONDAY 24th OCTOBER 2011

We will then choose the winning logo design on Wednesday 26th October. The winning designer will be invited to come along to the following committee meeting on Thursday 10th November to discuss where and how the logo will be used. Have some photo's taken that will go along side a press release to announce the design of the logo.
