So you may have seen this week we've been telling you about a new, fab, mobile bar taking over Cornwall by storm, Nomad Bars and Events but how could we forget to tell you about the great food they offer as part of their services!! It's not all about the booze there's nothing better than having a great bite to eat to have alongside a cool beer, classic wine or zingy cocktail so we get the inside scoop from Si who is co-owner of Nomad Bars and owner of The Old Grammar School, Truro to give us an insight into what we can expect on the food front.

NP: So hi Simon, thanks for joining us here today at NewquayPeople I understand you must be pretty busy at the moment co-running Nomad Bars and also The Old Grammar School so thank you for sparing the time to chat to us today. Sooooo don't leave us in suspense what sort of foods can we expect from Nomad Bars? And where will we be able to taste it over the summer, any events confirmed for the summer we should know about?
Si: Yes it is really busy at the moment, The Old Grammar School is doing really well and Nomad Bars is going from strength to strength with the help of Ben and Lewis we are hoping to expand. One of the expansions is looking into how we can offer a quality, but different food for weddings and events. We are can provide Paella, made on 90cm pans with fresh fish and Chorizo. We are also providing luxury BBQs with guidance from Head Chef George and Joe Damagio of The Old Grammar School. You can expect homemade burgers, stuffed Portebello mushrooms and homemade spicy bean burgers. We are helping the Kneehigh Theatre this year at The Asylum and we will feature in their food offering for one week. We will also be hosting random Paella evening through the summer outside the Grammar School.
NP: WOW that sounds great! The mobile bar seems to be taking over Cornwall by storm any plans to expand the food lines any further to include a wider selection?
Si: Hopefully we are looking to expand into Wedding and event catering, where we can look after the whole celebration.
NP: So who's the one that creates all the magic? I know from personally eating at The Old Grammar School in Truro that the food dished up there is to die for, with a great selection of dishes, cooked to perfection and priced as reasonable as it gets is that the same standard we can expect from the food at Nomad Bars?
Si: Nomad Bars is under strict guidance from the chefs at The Old Grammar School. With head chef George Pascoe and Joe Damagio we hope to create something special.
NP: Paella Is a favourite of mine, which I know is for many people, but I see on your website you can tailor the menu to suit the client and occasion. Can you give us an example of what sort of menu you could provide and do you have a limit on numbers?
SI: We want to remain flexible for all our clients, as with the bars we hope we can change menus to suit.
NP: Lastly where can we keep up to date with Nomad Bars and Events and The Old Grammar School?
SI: www.nomadbars.co.uk and www.theoldgrammarschool.com, we also have Facebook sites for both.
NP: Well what can we say WOW totally impressed by the services on offer within this new and exciting venture within Cornwall. Keep a look out for the guys throughout the summer to sample the tasty treats and yummy drinks. Thanks for joining us SI! Keep up the good work.
